Charice feels the pressure of her upcoming taping for 'Glee'

Charice revealed that she is making the necessary preparations for when she starts taping for the international hit TV series, Glee, on July 28. Though she has yet to meet the cast of the musical series, Charice is ready to be part of the show where she will play a foreign exchange student.

At the recent press conference for her three-day concert series in Manila, the international singer refused to go into detail on how she auditioned for Glee, but stressed that she is still overwhelmed by her latest feat. “Hindi po ako nag-expect na [makasama at] as of now nanginginig pa ako [sa excitement],” she beamed.

When asked what preparations she was doing, she answered, “Siyempre po nagvo-voice lessons pa po ako, siyempre sa acting, sa accent, pero ang pinakaimportante po talaga ang acting,” she said. It can be recalled that when reports first came out that Charice would supposedly be part of Glee, Charice’s camp denied the claim, only to announce a couple of weeks after through her Twitter account that she was going to be on the show.

But Charice clarified that the first report was definitely a rumor. “It’s the biggest rumor ever,” she began and explained that they had no confirmation at that time. “Pero never kaming nag-expect na makakasama ako,” she stressed. She said that she only announced the good news on her Twitter account after they finally got word that she was indeed going to be part of the cast.

Since the TV musical is a worldwide hit, Charice said that she feels pressured to perform well, but said that she draws strength from the thought that she is representing Filipinos. “Sa ngayon po, iniisip ko na lang na talagang nakadepende sa akin na kailangang ipakita ko kung ano ang talent ng Pinoy,” shared Charice. “Iniisip ko na nagiging strength ko na mas lalo ko pang galingan para maipakita sa ibang mga lahi na meron din dito sa Asia na pwede ring international talaga.”
