John Lloyd Cruz breaks his silence on the ‘hospital scandal’ involving him and Shaina Magdayao |

For the very first time, John Lloyd Cruz took on the issue about the alleged hospital scandal which plagued him and girlfriend Shaina Magdayao last month. Although he was clearly repulsed by the malicious accusations being thrown their way, he stressed that it was too ridiculous for him to let it affect their relationship or even his work for that matter. “Kung tungkol lang dun sa balitang yun, hindi naman nakaapekto sa amin yun [ni Shaina]. Sa trabaho hindi [din] naman nakakaapekto e. I mean, hindi ganong bagay ang makakaapekto sa trabaho ko. Alam ko yung mga bagay na makakaapekto sa mga ginagawa ko at hindi yun isa sa mga yun,” he stated in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporters last September 29.
The two Star Magic artists were caught in a shocking controversy when reports got out that they were allegedly rushed to the hospital after encountering a rare medical condition that occurs during sexual intercourse. But their managers were quick to refute such reports followed by Shaina’s firm denial during the press conference of her teleserye, Precious Hearts Romances Presents Alyna, two weeks ago. When asked if Shaina asked for his permission to speak about it, John Lloyd simply replied, “Hindi niya kailangan humingi ng permiso sa akin. Siyempre napag-uusapan namin, nakukuwento niya. Basically yun lang naman. She can handle herself naman, so wala namang problema.”
John Lloyd was also happy to hear that Shaina had been very vocal about how he made her feel secure throughout that difficult ordeal. “Well, gagawin mo lang yung dapat mong gawin. Gagawin mo lahat to make her feel alright. I guess I was just doing my part. And whatever it is na gusto ko or dapat sabihin sa kanya, nasabi ko na.” He further shared that the negative intrigues about them even made them stronger as a couple. “Oo naman. ‘Di ba, yung parang, what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger. Walang ibang pupuntahan yun kundi gagawin ka niyang matatag.”
