It’s been a while since KC Concepcion starred in the teleserye Lovers In Paris, which is why she’s really happy to return to acting via Maalaala Mo Kaya this Saturday, March 12. The pretty TV host-actress will bring to life the story of Star Power grand winner Angeline Quinto who struggled with her complicated family ties as well as her dream to become a singer. “This is the first time that I am back in TV for acting. Siguro one year na nakalipas mula nung ginawa ko yung Lovers In Paris. Masarap siya for me, nalagpasan ko na yung point ng pressure ng tatlong taon mula nung dumating ako sa showbiz. More than other people’s expectations mas ine-enjoy ko na lang yung trabaho ko ngayon," said KC in a recent interview with Showbiz News Ngayon. KC was quite familiar with Angeline as one of the contenders in her mom Sharon Cuneta’s show. But she was still surprised when she read about all the hardships that the aspiring singer went through during her growing up years. “Nung nag-ASAPkami last Sunday, nakita ko siya (Angeline) sa hallway. Sabi ko ‘Uy, baka ako mag-MMK nung buhay mo.’ Ang dami pala niyang pinagdaanan—yung relationship nila ng papa niya kakaiba kasi ‘di sila close supposedly, may mga away, may mga misunderstanding sila… sa mukha niya makikita mo marami siyang pinagdaanan, marami pa siyang ‘di kinukuwento.
