 Boy Abunda hosts ‘Bottom Line’

After asking sizzling questions in Private Conversations and Kontrobersyal, Boy Abunda will engage in no-holds-barred interviews to dig deep into the heart of the controversy with ABS-CBN’s new show Bottom Line, Saturday nights beginning November 28. Production Manager Vince Rodriguez said, “Tito Boy is really the central concept of the show. He’s an excellent conversationalist. He likes talking to people. He likes picking the brains of people. And he’s very well-read. He watches a lot of news and current affairs shows. He likes learning. So I think he enjoys the interviews because he also learns from them.”

But Executive Producer Apples Dela Vega clarified that Bottom Line will not be your regular interview program. “We have a pool of bottom liners. Nagpapalit ‘yun depending on the guest. We get six to eight bottom liners from the pool for every episode and through Tito Boy’s interview with the guest, their questions and other issues are answered.” In a nutshell, these chosen people from the different sectors of the society are considered as the creators of the program with their strong and varied questions and opinions.

Furthermore, viewers of Bottom Line will have the privilege to see the whole process of hoe each episode was formed. From conceptualization, to brainstorming, to actual execution of the interview, and ending with an assessment of the interview, Boy acts as the moderator of the whole discussion. He throws in the questions gathered from the brainstorming through the revealing interview with the invited guest. Through a monitor, the bottom liners are able to witness the interview share what they want to know about the guest. After the session, Boy and the bottom liners assess the whole activity.

Prepare as Bottom Line with Boy Abunda changes the face of interview television. Catch its pilot episode this Saturday, November 28 right after Banana Split.
