After four years, prized Kapamilya actress Maja Salvador returns on the cover of Chalk Magazine this month where she opens up about her career and family life.

Talking to Chalk’s Toff de Venecia, Maja expressed her gratitude for how well the management has treated her over the years, never ceasing to give her the projects that turned her into one of today’s fine  young actresses. She recently won her first acting award, Gawad Urian Best Actress, for her portrayal in the independent film “Thelma” and is currently a part of the top-rating teleserye “Ina Kapatid Anak”. 

Though her projects and endorsements say a lot about her success, the 24-year-old still feels a pang of insecurity. “I sometimes question if I’m really good or not, if I’m really doing what I’m supposed to be doing,” she said.

Maja also opens up on her sacrifices as a 14-year-old who, instead of having fun as a high school student, helps pay the bills. She talked about her tearful reunion with her father, Ross Rival, who died in 2007. She also revealed that it’s her dream to take up Culinary Arts in the future just like her idol Judy Ann Santos.
