With her more mature and bolder image seen both in print and on screen, it’s no wonder Pieta actress Krista Ranillo was chosen as MAXIM magazine’s newest celebrity columnist as well as cover girl for their March 2009 issue. “It’s interesting because I agreed to do the cover because I’m going to be a columnist for MAXIM. So I’ll be writing every month. The readers can actually ask me questions about sex, dating and relationships and then I’ll answer them. I decided to do this because I want my fans and readers to know me on a more personal level, not lang about the stuff written about me. So ito, sa akin na talaga manggagaling,” Krista shares during the Myx Music Awards held last February 26 at the Meralco theater in Ortigas.

This sexy pictorial is Krista’s second time to appear on a cover of a men’s magazine. But this time, Krista says she got the approval of her family and non-showbiz boyfriend before anything else. “Wala naman sinabi boyfriend ko, he’s so cool with it. Okay lang siya, he’s very supportive. My family naman, They were shocked again. (laughs) But yun nga, they saw naman the photos. They approved it naman and also about me doing a column,” the pretty Pieta actress says. To prepare for the cover shoot, Krista admits that she even went on a low carb diet and just continued her usual routine of working out at the gym. “Doing the shoot was so much fun kasi normally, I’d think na parang it’s going to be a long ay. But we actually finished it in just a couple of hours lang and then I had to go back to ABS-CBN to do some work. Tapos ang galing kasi they were able to transform my look. Kasi I want the cover to look iba naman. I wanted people who see it to ask ‘Sino yan? Si Krista ba yun?” yung ganun ang dating,” she says.
