After Journey’s successful US Tour, the band’s Pinoy lead singer Arnel Pineda is very happy to get his Christmas wish – that is to stay in the Philippines and celebrate the holiday season with his family and close friends.

However, Arnel received another wonderful gift when he won the P1M prize in the December 11 episode of Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal. No words could express Arnel’s happiness when host Kris Aquino opened suitcase number five. Arnel almost struck a deal with the Banker but at the urging of his loved ones, he opted to open his chosen briefcase instead. The rocker became the show’s 17^th millionaire.

On the other hand, Arnel will be returning to his duties with Journey next year when the group begins their world tour. And to thank his kababayans, Arnel announced that Journey will have their kick-off concert in the Philippines. He is also very much grateful to all his Filipino fans all over the globe. “Ang Pinoy nasa buong mundo na. Nagkalat na ang Pinoy. So yung suporta nila sa akin grabe. Nagdadala pa sila ng Philippine flag,” Arnel shared during an interview with TV PatrolWorld.
