Oliver pretends to leave the Valderama house after dinner and he secretly returns, knowing Leo is out of town.
Oliver manages to open the vault only to find it empty. He panics though when he hears Leo has come back early from his trip and he suddenly proposes marriage to Jasmin. Oliver returns the next day to apologize and prove he is serious in wanting to marry Jasmin and Leo gives his consent to him to court his daughter. Oliver does his best to make Jasmin fall in love with him. But it also hurts him to turn his back on his love for Agnes.
