Manuel Montereal takes his entire family on a cruise for a grand vacation.
Enzo his eldest son often fights with Archie the youngest and Manuel tells Enzo that he should be protecting his little brother instead of quarrelling with him. Trouble begins when Archie disappears and his parents frantically search for him aboard the cruise ship. Enzo finds his brother precariously hanging on the side of the ship. He tries to hold on to his brother but Archie lets go and plunges into the sea. Manuel and the crew of the ship search for the boy but they could not find him. Archie is given a memorial despite his body not being found. Life goes on for the Montereals. Manuel often have clashes with his half-sister Mildred because of their business policies. Enzo while playing on their farm, manages to save a girl named Katkat from drowning in the river. The two become fast friends. However, while playing, Enzo suddenly faints making Katkat panic.
