Jao finally gives in to his mother's wishes regarding him and Mikay, as she promises to leave the girl alone if he avoids her.
As Mikay and Jao return to the city, they run into an old woman with an ailing grandchild, whom they rush to the hospital. Rain starts to pour as the storm reaches the city. Mikay and Jao become stranded and could not contact their loved ones who were getting worried about them. The old woman offers them a place to stay for the night.
