Lupe comes between Gary and Mara and she tells her son to stop.
Mara has become unconscious and Lupe wants to send her to the hospital. However Gary knows it will affect his court hearing and tells Clara to bring Mara to the hospital after the proceedings. Lupe persuades Clara to take Mara to the doctor and Mara manages to escape from Clara to go to the police. Gary is then charged with another case and soon he’s convicted and sent to jail. The Del Valle’s are relived and Mara soon lives her life normally.
