Teen Edition kicks off with a blast
 Top
band Itchyworms rocked the stage with their spectacular
rendition of PBB official theme songs while top turntablist
DJ Coki added beats of his own. Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity
Big 4 Keanna, John, Zanjo and Bianca together with PBB Season
1 Big 4 Nene, Jason, Cass and Uma danced their hearts out
to the funky new groove accompanied by young, sexy and energetic
dancers.
Adding a too-fast-too-furious vibe to the
opening number was the entrance of new host Mariel Rodriguez
looking gorgeously sexy in an all black ensemble being driven
in a motorcycle that went onstage. The piece d’ resistance
was the arrival of the 12 teen housemates driven also driven
in hot motorcycles but their faces were hidden with the helmets
they were wearing.
Excitement was in the air as Mariel introduced
Bianca Gonzales; former housemate turned co-host and announced
that she will be the new Uplate host. Excitement went another
notch as Mariel announced the wonderful prizes that the PBB
Teen Edition Big Winner will get. Aside from the 1 million
pesos and condo unit from St. Monique, the winner will also
get an 8-day vacation courtesy of Sea Air and Holiday Inn.
Audiences were not disappointed as Mariel
introduced the new 12 gorgeous teen housemates. VTRs provided
a brief profile of 6 boys and 6 girls. The housemates were
introduced two at a time and they were welcomed
by Bianca and their respective families.
The 12 teen housemates are
as follows: Gerald, Amboy ng Gensan; Nina, Sosy Girl ng Makati;
Mikee, Atenista mula sa Q.C.; Kim, Chinese Cutie ng Cebu;
Bam, Boyish na Komedyante ng Paranaque; Olyn, Teenstar Wannabe
ng Q.C.; Fred, Perfectionist Hunk ng Q.C.; Clare, Barrio Lass
ng Bukidnon, Aldred, Kilabot na Valedictorian ng Pasay; Mikki,
Orig na Astig ng Davao; Matt, Matt, Happy-Go-Lucky Guy ng
Q.C.; and Jamilla, Teenage Mom ng Laguna.
Junior Kilat and former housemate Budoy Mirabiles
provided reggae flavor with Budoy Ako, a Visayan adaptation
of Pinoy Ako. Browman Revival also joined the reggae number
with their hit, Maling Akala.
The show’s closing number featured
teen favorite Sandwich, Razorback and Cookie Chua. Sandwich
front man Raymund Marasigan sang their newest hit Sugod while
Razorback’s Kevin Roy sang Kilos Kabataan together with
Cookie Chua. The electrifying performance ended with all three
singing their own version of Awit ng Kabataan.
 The
teen housemates immediately bonded once inside the newly renovated
house. Big Brother already gave them their first task which
had them reciting in unison the Teen Commandments which contains
Kuya’s expectations of how they should behave inside
the house.
Celebrity Pinoy Big Brother Keanna Reeves
secretly entered the house while the 12 teen housemates were
assembled in the living room reading their creed. The Kilabot
ng Senado delivered Kuya’s welcome treat that consisted
of pizza and chicken but there’s a twist. The food is
very spicy and Kuya had the refrigerator locked and all water
sources are unavailable inside the house so the 12 teen housemates
must overcome their first challenge.
