REDWOOD CITY, CA, August 28, 2009 – After the hugely successful kick-off last year in Ontario, California, ABS-CBN North America caps TFC’s 15th year celebration with One Kapamilya Go sa California’s Great America in Santa Clara on September 20.

This year’s OK Go, the event’s monicker, promises to top last year’s which drew a crowd of almost 7,000. ABS-CBN decided to hold the event this year at California’s Great America, the premier theme park of the San Francisco Bay Area. For just the early bird price of $40, OK Go ticketholders will be entitled access to the 50 rides and attractions of the park for starters. But a whole bag of surprises await OK Go ticketholders as well.

The star-studded line-up for the main show to be held at 5:00pm at the park’s Redwood Amphitheatre includes reigning Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz, Betty La Fea on TFC lead star Bea Alonzo, world-class talents Charice and Billy Crawford, Pinoy Dream Academy champion Laarni Lozada and runner-up Bugoy Drilon, actor-dancer-singer-comedian Vhong Navarro, actor-host-dancer Luis Manzano, with comedians Chokoleit and Candy Pangilinan as hosts.

Starry Starry Store will hold three screenings of a special movie at the Great America Theatre. Screening times for this movie – on a first come, first served seating – are 10:15am, 12:30pm and 2:35pm.

For those aspiring to be the next big star, no less than director Laurenti Dyogi will come to hold the first back-to-back auditions starting at 10:00am of Pinoy Big Brother and Pinoy Dream Academy in the San Francisco Bay Area.

There will be whole-day activities from food and merchandise booths. ABS-CBN products and services will also offer pavilion games from which contestants to an onstage parlor game will be chosen. The top winner of this contest will walk away with a very grand surprise as the top prize.

“(ABS-CBN) The Filipino Channel is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that all those who will attend One Kapamilya Go sa California’s Great America will be wowed with excitement, top quality entertainment, and a one-of-a-kind experience that befits the celebration of its15th anniversary,” said TFC Business Unit Head, Jun del Rosario. “We want this to be a win-win event for our subscribers, supporters and partners.”

“This will be a winner not only for ABS-CBN but for the Filipino community in general,” added ABS-CBN North America Managing Director Chinky De Jesus. “The celebration of the kapamilya spirit and the best in Filipino talent will be the centerpiece of OK Go. I want people to attend, participate and leave prouder than ever of being a Filipino.”
