On Maalaala Mo Kaya: Gerald Anderson takes on the role of a young man with an incurable illness
by Rachelle Siazon | November 07, 2009 2:19 AM |

With his acting skills honed in Tayong Dalawa, Gerald Anderson again displays his versatility as an actor as he stars in Maalaala Mo Kaya for the second time. He brings to life the story of Jerome Concepcion who was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome when he was already in his early 20s. Jerome bears a lot of emotional scars because he grew up being severely disciplined by his mom Criselda who never understood his odd mannerisms and mood swings due to his illness.

After his father passes away soon after being diagnosed with lung cancer, Jerome is left with no choice but to help his mom take care of his siblings. Is it too late for them to fix what went wrong between them? And how will Jerome deal with all the trials in his life when his illness always gets in the way?

This episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya is directed by Ruel Bayani and also stars Rio Locsin, Nono Buencamino, Robi Domingo, John Manalo, Mara Montes, and Julijo Pisk. Maalaala Mo Kaya airs Saturdays right after The Singing Bee.
