After six weeks of searching for the best contenders all over the country, the much-awaited reality franchise Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)is set to begin this Saturday, February 20 on Primetime Bida. Brace yourselves as it showcases a wide range of world-class acts from the usual singing, dancing, and acting pieces all the way to the bizarre, hilarious and never-before-seen performances. Those who are lucky enough to make it to PGT should really show everything they’ve got as former ABS-CBN President and COO Freddie M. Garcia alone plans to be a no-nonsense type of judge. “I will not be swayed by beauty or gwapo, but just in pure talent. I will be fair but will be very analytical. I will look at all the elements of the performing talent or what we call the ‘x-factor.’ That’s what we are looking for,” he stresses.

Kris Aquino on the on the other hand seems to have her personal favorites already as early as the audition period. “You can definitely see how talented Filipinos are in all possible acts you can think of, from singing all the way to doing magic and acrobatic stunts,” said Kris who constantly gives the Kapamilya viewers regular updates about PGT happenings. “There is actually one contestant that I want to give a record deal already and there is this one group who can actually compete with acts in Las Vegas. They are that good.” The Queen of All Media is simply proud and amazed with the people she met throughout their nationwide search. “When we were going through the last set of auditionees, I realized that talent is nurtured. And truly talented people not only are born with it but they also work very hard to develop their God-given gifts.”

Last but definitely not the least, Ai-ai delas Alas, who completes the distinguished panel of judges, claimed that it was really an honor to be part of this TV offering of ABS-CBN. For someone who rose to stardom the hard way, the Concert Comedy Queen shared that it’s nice to know that they will be able to change the lives of the contestants in one way or another. “Magandang opportunity ang makasama sa Pilipinas Got Talent kasi all over the world ‘to e. Pang 86th country tayo na may franchise. At ang makatrabaho ko si ‘friendship’ (Kris) at FMG (Freddie), malaking bagay yun. At siyempre napaka-talented naman talaga ng mga Pinoy kaya I’m sure lahat ng tao mage-enjoy sa show na ito,” she adds.

Hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano, don’t miss the chance to see what the Pinoys are made of via PGT, Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 8:30 PM. Also, catch the funny moments and unseen footages in this highly-anticipated talent-reality show with Marc Abaya in Pilipinas Got More Talent, weekdays, 4:30 PM, starting this Monday, February 22.
