MANILA – The legal counsel of Rene Baterbonia&#x27;s family said they want the Ateneo de Manila University to undertake “proactive measures” following the deaths of Baterbonia and Divine Adili.Three days after the tragic incident, Ateneo said Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin and team manager Epok Quimpo are “on leave” amid the investigation.But for Atty. Israelito Torreon, he said the move does not sit right with the family.&quot;Actually, we are hoping that Ateneo will also do some proactive acts. The fact that he is merely on leave concerns us, but since that is the decision of Ateneo, we cannot help but only comment on it. Of course, we cannot control Ateneo, that&#x27;s Ateneo,&quot; he said.&quot;We are hoping that Ateneo de Manila would cooperate with the investigation, that they would allow the teammates to be interviewed likewise, be investigated likewise, by authorities, without exceptions. We just have to ensure that he will be present in the investigation that will be conducted by the authorities,&quot; Torreon explained.The family&#x27;s legal counsel earlier asked the Department of Justice for the issuance of an ILBO for Baldwin.The DOJ earlier said it has received the request for the ILBO and will be evaluated.An ILBO directs immigration officials to note a subject&#x27;s movements in and out of the country and to have them go through secondary inspection if necessary.After being silent and staying out of the public eye, Baldwin made his first appearance since the tragic incident on Thursday.The champion mentor was present at the candle-lighting vigil and mass for Baterbonia and Adili at the Ateneo de Manila University.In photos posted by student publication The GUIDON, Baldwin was seen alongside some players like Shawn Tuaño.Ateneo earlier said it has asked Baldwin to refrain from making public statements to allow the official processes and investigations to proceed.The University said Adili and Baterbonia died in a drowning incident during a team-building activity on Monday in Dipaculao, Aurora.ABS-CBN News is still seeking comment from Baldwin and officials of Ateneo.
