<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1781740869819HLC4uYvakAAfh07.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>The vehicle containing the bodies of two individuals found along the TPLEX Southbound lane in Victoria, Tarlac was towed from a gasoline station on Wednesday night, June 17, 2026. 📸 Contributed via Bea Cuadra, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA (2nd UPDATE) — Authorities are probing the deaths of two persons whose bodies were discovered inside a parked vehicle behind an establishment at a Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) southbound gas station in Barangay San Francisco, Victoria, Tarlac.The bodies were discovered on Wednesday afternoon, June 17, 2026.According to a gas station employee, a manager grew concerned about an SUV  that had been parked for an unusually long time. The manager requested a check past 2 p.m.Police officers arrived shortly and secured the perimeter, and the vehicle was towed later that evening. Local management declined to comment on whether nearby CCTV cameras captured who left the vehicle at the scene.Relatives later identified the victims. Tarlac Police Provincial Police Office Public Information Chief P/Capt. Ruby Alcantara told ABS-CBN news the victims include a 20-year old female and a 28-year old male. Both of the victims were seen at the backseat of the SUV.“Yung babae po ay 20 years old at yung lalaki po ay 28-years old. Nasa back seat po sila…ang initial information natin ay hindi na umaandar yung sasakyan - yun fan na lang po ng aircon,” according to Alcantara. Based on initial Investigation, the victims bought coffee at a popular coffee shop in the area and immediately proceeded at the parking lot at the back of said coffee shop. &quot;Upon checking, around 3:55 p.m., of June 17….the guard found the two inside and both were not moving,&quot; said Alcantara.He said the relatives of the victims have already signed a waiver and refused to have the victims undergo autopsy. “Ang pamilya po kasi ay tumanggi na ng mag-undergo ng medico…further investigation…nag-sign po sila ng waiver na hindi na sila magpa-autopsy,” Alcantara told ABS-CBN News.The family of the victims, Alcantara said, has requested to respect their decision to keep the matter private. She, however said, Tarlac PPO cannot conclude yet if the case is already solved or considered &quot;case closed.&quot; The PNP-Forensic Group, according to Alcantara is still conducting its investigation to find out possible motives, but so far, no gunshot would or stab wounds have been found “Wala po tayong masabing motibo pa kasi ongoing pa po yung forensic natin…So far, wala tayong nakitang gunshot wounds or sinaksak - stab wounds, wala po,” said Alcantara. The victims are both residents of Paniqui, Tarlac, according to Alcantara.<div> </div><div>RELATED VIDEO</div><div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YxL1wFZpruI?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>
