A 53-year-old Filipino died during a ride at Hong Kong Disneyland, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday.The Filipino tourist reportedly lost consciousness and collapsed while on the &quot;Frozen Ever After&quot; attraction around 10 a.m. Friday morning, according to a report by the Philippine News Agency (PNA). He was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m.“The (Philippine) Consulate General (in Hong Kong), through its Assistance-to-Nationals Section, confirmed the incident with the Lantau Police headquarters and contacted the next of kin of the deceased to convey our heartfelt condolences and to assist them with the process of repatriating the deceased&#x27;s remains,” the DFA said in a statement.“The Consulate General continues to coordinate with the local authorities and institutions concerned, while respecting the family&#x27;s privacy during this difficult time.”The incident prompted the theme park to temporarily suspend its Frozen Ever After ride from Aug. 31 to Sept. 19, citing “operational adjustments”, PNA reported.In a statement, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort shed more light on the incident, saying family members confirmed the tourist had a pre-existing medical condition. &quot;At around 10 AM today (August 29), a foreign guest suddenly lost consciousness while riding the Frozen Ever After attraction. His accompanying family members later reported that the guest had a pre-existing medical condition,&quot; the resort said. It said that after the boat was preparing to dock, &quot;cast members immediately arranged first aide to check on him and perform CPR.&quot;&quot;He was then promptly transported by ambulance to North Lantau Hospital. Unfortunately, the guest passed away at around 11:30 AM at the hospital.&quot;The resort said it &quot;deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family.&quot;&quot;Our initial investigation has shown the incident is not related to ride safety.&quot;
