Cherry Pie exposes John and Mercedes’ love affair

“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” turned up the heat on Wednesday (April 24) as viewers were stunned by Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) and Lena’s (Mercedes Cabral) most-awaited scandalous confrontation scene, which netizens dubbed as ‘the wife versus mistress royal rumble.’ The series airs weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.

The episode, which got 436,663 peak concurrent views on Kapamilya Online Live, showed how Marites finally confirmed her worst suspicion as she caught her husband Rigor (John Estrada) and his mistress Lena making love at the latter’s house. Scorned by Rigor’s betrayal, Marites went on full-on rage mode and publicly humiliated the two as she announced their affair to the entire neighborhood.

An unapologetic Lena even fought back and shamed Marites’ shortcomings as a wife. What Marites doesn’t know is that Lena is pregnant with Rigor’s baby and that he promised to take care of them.

Meanwhile, Tanggol’s (Coco Martin) friendship with Bubbles (Ivana Alawi) continues to grow deeper as they both promise to live a better life away from causing trouble. However, Tanggol’s patience will be tested as he is set to clash heads with Pablo (Elijah Canlas), the heir of the powerful Caballero family.

Will Marites finally end her relationship with Rigor or will she give him another chance? Will Tanggol be able to keep his cool despite Pablo’s arrogance?
