Lolit reveals Lorna’s decision to move to ABS-CBN

Last July 13, Lorna Tolentino, wife of the late actor Rudy Fernandez, made a surprise guest appearance on ASAP '08 for the launching of ABS-CBN's tribute to Daboy. Her ASAP visit further boosted buzz that Lorna is really returning to the Kapamilya network.

ABS-CBN.com caught up with LT’s manager Lolit Solis who had this to say, "Hindi pa complete, pero nagustuhan niya ang alok sa kanya ni Malou (Santos) na series (teleserye). Kaya lang, she's still leaving for the holy land, alam mo naman ang drama ng lola mo."

She added that as a manager, she also liked what was offered to her alaga. "Okay sa akin, kasi ang magtatrabaho naman sila e. As a manager, you do the negotiation. Tapos sila ang magdesisiyon.” As to whether or not there was also a talk show in the works, ‘Nay Lolit said, “Oo, may in-offer din sa kanyang talk show."

Lorna has nothing but good words for what ABS-CBN did for Daboy even before he passed away. "Masaya siya. Actually, grateful siya doon sa ginawa para kay Rudy. Talagang grateful na grateful siya dun. Kasi nakita niya yung happiness ni Rudy while negotiating for that (entrusting ABS-CBN with the rights to his movies). Kumbaga sa ano na yun e, grabe na nun si Rudy e (terminal cancer). Tapos nakita niyang nadi-divert yung attention ni Rudy dahil sa pakikipag-usap kina Charo (Santos-Concio, President of ABS-CBN), and sa mga taga-ABS-CBN parang na-appreciate niya yun ng mabuti."

Lolit then revealed to ABS-CBN.com when Lorna will formally start working with ABS-CBN. She said, "She's leaving for the holy land on August 13. Two weeks siya don. Siguro mag-aano siya, mag-dadalawa [episode] pa siyang Startalk. Tapos September, yun na yung pre-production ng yun (teleserye with ABS-CBN)."

Lorna's last project with ABS-CBN was Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay in 2001, with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
