Amid controversial issues of domestic violence involving prominent showbiz and political personalities in the country, ABS-CBN’s top-rating drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” will share this Saturday (September 7) an empowering story of a battered wife who did everything to protect her ‘dream family.’ |

The Don Cuaresma-directed “MMK” episode was given an ‘SPG’ (Strong Parental Guidance) rating because of its sensitive story about a loving and hardworking mother named Blythe (to be portrayed by Denise Laurel) who endured the physical, verbal and emotional abuse of her jobless and abusive husband Raymond (Rayver Cruz).

With the intention to support her husband in providing the needs of their growing family, Blythe decided to work. But everything started to change when Raymond decided to stop working and fully depend on his wife.

How far will a devoted wife and mother go just to keep her family complete? Is love worth fighting for when your own life is in danger?

Also appearing with Denise and Rayver in their "MMK" episode are Belle Mariano, Dianne Medina, Janine Berdin, Gardo Versoza, Ynez Veneracion, Marithez Samson, Kyle Banzon, Hannah Flores, Kelly Misa, Wendy Tabusalla, Beauty Gonzales, Natasha Cabrera, Elaine Quemuel and Lance Lucido. It was researched by Akeem Del Rosario and written by Benjamin Benson Logronio.

Don't miss another eye-opening family drama in the longest-running drama anthology in Asia, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK), Saturday nighs, after “Wansapanataym” on ABS-CBN. For more updates, log on to www.mmk.abs-cbn.com, follow MMKOfficial on Twitter, and “like” www.facebook.com/MMKOfficial.
