Joshua Garcia shares his biggest realization during lockdown: ‘Ang dami kong sinayang na oras’

After getting a real glimpse into his personal bedroom setup in the newest Kapamilya Online Live digital special film Love Unlock, Joshua Garcia admitted he has been spending a lot of time on his computer even before the Enhanced Community Quarantine was announced last March. The 22-year-old Kapamilya actor has also been playing live online games like Apex Legends since last year.

But after spending months on lockdown, Josh said he has some realizations after having more time to spend at home. “Ang dami kong sinayang na oras nung mga panahong ang addict ko sa computer. Hindi ko alam kung ano pa yung mga kaya kong gawin, pero natuto ako na magbasa basa ng mga libro. More on para sa sarili, self-love. Ang dami kong na-realize na mga sinayang ko na araw nung mga panahon na puwede pa ako lumabas. Na parang hindi ko na magawa ngayon na nasa bahay lang. Sabi ko pag nagkaroon ako ng chance na makalabas, talagang susulitin ko yung araw,” he said.

As a way to make up for all the time he spent online being too focused on playing games, Josh said he had made an effort to reach out to his old friends. “Minessage ko nga yung mga ibang kaibigan ko. Nag-sorry ako dahil parang hindi ako nakapagbigay ng oras sa kanila, mga ganun. Parang nag dami mong ma-ri-realize, hindi lang ako, tayong lahat ang dami nating na-realize dahil sa nangyari,” he said.

In his newest digital project for the Kapamilya Online Live channel called Love Unlock: E-numan, Joshua plays the role of Benj, a reporter who reconnects with his college barkada which includes his ex-girlfriend Tin (played by Julia Barretto). The group reunite via Zoom and end up reminiscing and catching up on each other. His episode E-numan is directed by Dado Lumibao and written by Benson Logronio Arah Jell Badayos.
