<p>Weddings are definitely among the most important moments in the lives of some of us, since this is the day when we get to seal the love that we share with our “the one.” While this marks the momentous union of two people, weddings are often referred to as “her day” as brides, by tradition, are the ones usually expected to take charge in the planning and preparations.</p><p>Thus, aside from the overall makeup of the venue and ceremony itself, one of the things that we look forward to the most in this remarkable occasion is the bride’s gown. And in this Kapamilya Snaps feature, we’ve rounded up some of the most eye-catching, and even jaw-dropping bridal gowns that we have seen in recent years, as elegantly worn by some of our favorite local stars.</p><div><strong>Lovi Poe</strong></div><p>As she tied the knot with her British beau Monty Blencowe in a lovely garden ceremony held in at the famous Cliveden House in Berkshire, United Kingdom last August, Lovi was a picture of an exquisitely radiant and relaxed bride in the Patricia Santos number that she wore.</p><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/batangquiapo"><strong><u>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</u></strong></a> leading lady walked down the aisle in an elegant high-neck, long-sleeved lace trimmed gown that showed off her back, has puffed sleeves, and voluminous skirt and veil. Despite being almost entirely covered, her sexiness still overflowed.</p><div><strong>Pia Wurtzbach</strong></div><p>Followers were indeed surprised when Pia announced last May that she’s been Mrs. Jauncey since March of this year after she and her entrepreneur husband Jeremy Jauncey secretly got married in North Island, Seychelles.</p><p>The Miss Universe 2015’s sultry beach wedding gown was designed by Filipina designer Bessie Besana. The sweetheart appliqued gown was cream in color and had a classic corseted bodice and thigh-high slit that really showed off her sexiness.</p><div><strong>Maja Salvador</strong></div><p>Last July, we were indeed delighted to see Maja get married to the ultimate love of her life Rambo Nuñez at star-studded ceremony held at a five-star resort in Bali, Indonesia last July.</p><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart"><strong><u>The Iron Heart</u></strong></a> actress chose an off-shoulder, long-sleeved frock with delicate lacework by Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad.</p><div><strong>Jessy Mendiola</strong></div><p>For her secret civil wedding ceremony with<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/icsyv"> <strong><u>I Can See Your Voice</u></strong></a> host Luis Manzano held at a private resort in Lipa City, Batangas in February 2021, Jessy Mendiola preferred to be cladded in a dainty white A-line dress.</p><p>Also crafted by celebrity designer Patricia Santos, it had a square neckline and slightly low scoop back that showed off her sexiness, as well as billowy puff long sleeves and pleated skirt that made appear extra ethereal.</p><div><strong>Anne Curtis</strong></div><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></a> mainstay was indeed every inch a <em>“dyosa” </em>in the Monique Lhuillier custom long-sleeved lace gown that she donned when she exchanged “I dos” with her <em>mon amour</em> Erwan Heussaff in a star-studded outdoor wedding ceremony held in Queenstown, New Zealand in November 2017.</p><p>It had a sweetheart neckline beneath the lace overlay, a full skirt, and a long train and veil, which Anne paired with a black platform boots to add a dash of sassiness to her deific aura.</p><div><strong>Iza Calzado</strong></div><p>Another celebrity bride who enchanted us with her divine grandeur was Iza, who walked down the aisle in a Boho-inspired gown created by Rajo Laurel during her and husband Ben Wintle’s intimate beach wedding held in Coron, Palawan in December 2018.</p><p>In an interview, Rajo disclosed that the lace used in her dreamy frock was specially made for the blushing bride by the prominent French fashion house Sophie Hallette and took several months to make. It had a low V-neckline, thigh-high slit in the front, and a long train that brushes through the sandy aisle.</p><div><strong>Morissette Amon</strong></div><p>The Asia’s Phoenix and her dashing groom Dave Lamar didn’t let the downpour dampen their happiness and excitement as they got hitched in an outdoor ceremony held at a farmstead in Lipa City, Batangas last January 2022.</p><p>Morissette opted for an appliqued floor-length frock with spaghetti and appliqued straps and form-fitting silhouettes made by Michael Leyva. In an Instagram post, she revealed that it was just how she dreamed her wedding gown to be.</p><div><strong>Melissa Ricks</strong></div><p>In May 2021, the <strong><u><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/14040518-throwback-star-circle-quest-2004-14313">Star Circle Quest Season 1</a> </u></strong>alumna said her “I do” to non-showbiz husband Michael Macatangay through a backyard wedding in Los Angeles, USA.</p><p>For her special day, Melissa chose a minimalist look by putting on an elegant dress by Lauren Berberabe had a deep V-neckline, column silhouette, sheer billowy long sleeves, and cinched pleated belt.</p><div><strong>Trina Legaspi</strong></div><p>On her wedding with her non-showbiz husband Ryan Jarina in November 2021, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/goinbulilit"><strong><u>Goin’ Bulilit</u></strong> </a>alumna walked down the aisle in a Patricia Santos masterpiece. Trina indeed looked like a princess in the exquisitely embellished gown with sweetheart neckline and detachable sheer puff sleeves.</p><div><strong>Ritz Azul</strong></div><p>As if one ceremony wasn’t enough, Ritz and her non-showbiz beau Allan Guy had two nuptials in 2021, in which she donned Mak Tumang creations for both.
