<p>In December of last year, a category 5 hurricane locally known as Odette made landfall in parts of Visayas, bringing with it torrential rains and violent winds. It quickly became one of the costliest and most devastating typhoons in the country, incurring ₱51.8 billion in damages, right after 2013’s Typhoon Yolanda.</p><div><br/></div><p>As a response to the catastrophe brought about by Odette, the ABS-CBN Foundation immediately went to work, raising funds and money through various means. With no homes to return to, a lot of them still live in evacuation centers.</p><div><br/></div><p>To further raise funds for home repair kits, Metro, in partnership with Vantage, Inc., is holding the Metro Benefit Sale, a fundraising event for ABS-CBN Foundation’s Operation Odette.
