Then he starts anew with his mother. </p><div><br/></div><p>As he transfers to a new school, he meets Lee Jun Young’s Kang Inha, the illegitimate heir to the CEO of the Kangoh Group, who initially bullies him but later becomes his best friend. I wanted to maximize the intrigue for the viewers regarding the decisions the characters would make. One of the goals we set out with for this series was for viewers to try to predict each character’s future and reflect on if they made the right choices. Seeing a character’s journey from being the underdog to winning in life makes for a satisfying viewing experience. But whereas other K-dramas focus on one main character’s motivations for revenge, <em>The Impossible Heir</em>’s revenge plot stems from each of the struggles of Han Tae Oh, Kang Inha, and Na Hye Won. This could result in a complex series of conflicts and schemes that are likely to serve much-welcome plot twists. It’s that element that infuses the heavy drama with lightheartedness and a breath of fresh air. We’re glad it did not disappoint in the first two episodes! And with <em>The Impossible Heir</em>’s corporate setting, we are excited to see more of Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young in dapper suits (we already got a glimpse of these in episode 2!); as for Hong Suzu, it’ll also be nice to see her character transformation from a girl-next-door to a sophisticated career woman. In the first episode, we also saw Han Tae Oh and Kang Inha in the boxing ring; we hope there will be action-packed scenes in the series!
