This year's theme of 'Invest in Our Planet' rings true not just for governments and businesses, but for everyone who is being called upon to take action

Some organizationsextend their Earth Day observance to Earth Week or even Earth Month.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Themefor this year is a continuation of 2022&#x27;s Invest in Our Planet</strong></div><p>Everyyear, the celebration focuses on a certain theme. In 2020, the 50th Anniversaryof Earth Day, the theme was &#x27;Climate Action” and in 2021,  the theme is &#x27;Restore Our Earth. This year&#x27;sEarth Day theme is a continuation of last year&#x27;s <a href="https://www.earthday.org/press-release/earthday-org-announces-theme-for-earth-day-2023-invest-in-our-planet/" target="_blank">&#x27;Invest in Our Planet.&#x27;</a></p><div><br/></div><p>“In 2023we must come together again in partnership for the planet. Businesses,governments, and civil society are equally responsible for taking actionagainst the climate crisis and lighting the spark to accelerate change towardsa green, prosperous, and equitable future,&#x27; says Kathleen Rogers,President of EARTHDAY.ORG. &#x27;We must join together in our fight forthe green revolution, and for the health of future generations. Some of the biggest events are <a href="https://www.facebook.com/CityofCapeCoral." target="_blank">The Cape Coral cleanup</a> in Florida; the<a href="https://www.facebook.com/earthdaynetworkindia/" target="_blank"> ‘Heaven on Earth’ cleanup</a> in Dal Lake, India; the Village of theEarth celebrations for <a href="https://www.earthdayitalia.org/villaggio-per-la-terra/" target="_blank">Earth Day Italia</a> with over 600 events and 200 organizations from April21-25; and <a href="https://extinctionrebellion.uk/the-big-one/#which-days-should-i-come" target="_blank">The Big One</a>, one of the biggest environmental protests of 2023where 100,000 individuals will march in London for the climate crisis.
