But more than these, they astound us the most with their eloquence and wisdom, which they got to exhibit through their interviews, such as in “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/magandangbuhay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Magandang Buhay</u></strong></em></a>.” </p><p>And in this edition of MB Toplist, let’s look back on the clips in which six of our favorite Kapamilya stars candidly related the most valuable lessons they’ve learned in life. </p><div><br/></div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABS7OAnVxVWxTFn2&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script><div><br/></div><div><strong>Joshua Garcia</strong></div><p>In 2019, Joshua received a surprise celebration from the long-running morning talk show for his 22nd birthday. When asked what he wished for while blowing out the candle on his birthday cake, he divulged that it would be a dream for him to be able to pursue further studies and take up a course on Film as he was immensely inspired by the directors he got to work with.</p><p>Meanwhile, with regard to the greatest lesson that life had taught him, the “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/articles-videos/anne-carlo-and-joshua-topbill-ph-adaptation-of-its-okay-to-not-be-okay-22368" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>It’s Okay To Not Be Okay</u></strong></a><strong><u></u><u></u><em><u></u></em></strong><strong><em></em></strong><u><strong><em></em></strong></u>” (Philippine version) star said that his recent experiences at the time made him realize to not rush things and savor every moment given to us by God. He conveyed, “Huwag madaliin ang mga bagay-bagay. Kumbaga, enjoy-in mo every second na nabubuhay ka.”</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Darren Espanto</strong></div><p>“Learn to let go,” Darren uttered when quizzed by guest co-host Jodi Sta. Maria about the most important lesson he learned from 2023 that he would bring to 2024. The “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/itsshowtime" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a>” host continued, “Kasi may mga bagay na kahit ipilit mo na manatili sa buhay mo—it can be a material thing, a person—kailangan matuto ka na if it’s not meant for you, we have to let it go. Siguro hindi ‘yon ang para sa’yo, ang gustong ibigay ni God. So learn to let go; trust in God’s plan.”</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Francine Diaz</strong></div><p>As she marked her milestone 18th birthday in 2022, Francine imparted to the momshie-hosts the greatest lesson that life had taught her, which was to not give up and keep going. She even compared life to walking in the dark along a tunnel, in which we must continue walking until we finally reach the end where light can be found. Makes sense, right?</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Robi Domingo</strong></div><p>While some people believe that success cannot be measured by financial wealth, Robi implied in an episode of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/magandangbuhay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u><em>Magandang Buhay</em></u></strong></a>” that he believed otherwise. He related, “Noong bata talaga ako, napakababaw ng tingin ko sa buhay. Sabi ko, ‘Ang success, naka-equate ‘yan sa laman ng bank account mo. Kasi akala ko, kapag mas marami kang naipundar sa sarili mo, mas okay ka.” </p><p>That belief, he confessed, actually molded him to become stingy. But then he eventually realized that the true value of the money we have could be equated to the number of people whose lives he touched because of his help.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber</strong></div><p>For the year-end episode of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/magandangbuhay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em><u><strong>Magandang Buhay</strong></u></em></a><strong></strong>” in 2020, the momshie-hosts quizzed onscreen loveteam Maymay and Edward, a.k.a. “MayWard”, about the biggest lesson that the eventful year had taught them.</p><p>Maymay said that she was reminded to take good care of ourselves and be more mindful of our environment, as well as to keep in mind that we’re not in control of what is going to happen in our lives, only God.</p><p>On the other hand, Edward imparted, “Mahirap ‘yong 2020, but it was the year that exposed a lot of things about my character, tapos ‘yong puso ko… It was a year that I really had to give focus on myself and change things in me na para sa akin hindi okay.” Moreover, his important takeaway for the New Year is to change some of the things that he thought within his heart are not okay.</p>
