<p>It has been known to us all that <strong>Alessandro Michele</strong> is the new Creative Director of <strong>Valentino</strong>. However, it came as a shock and slightly unexpected twist that he has shared his initial pieces for Valentino months ahead of their expected launch in September.</p><div><br/></div><p>The Valentino Resort 2025 collection, <em>Avant les Débuts</em>, marks Alessandro’s creative debut in the Italian maison. It had a degree of opulence, which requires a certain level of skillfulness that Alessandro Michele surely has. The pieces showcase an exquisite use of patterns, embroidery, beading, and appliqué while also having a beautiful balance between clean lines, volume, and texture. </p><div><br/></div><p>Michele showcased his expert eye for design in the way he meshed together different colors and silhouettes. Overall, the collection heavily shows Alessandro’s love for maximalist design and, of course, bold accessories like sophisticated headpieces, leather gloves, and an abundance of pearls, which many are familiar with from his time at Gucci. However, the designer didn’t fail to bring about hints of nostalgia as he sprinkled the collection with references from archival Valentino. </p><div><br/></div><p>All in all, this certainly serves as the perfect amuse bouche for what’s to come with Alessandro Michele taking the reins in Valentino.
