New ABS-CBN daytime dramas achieve primetime performance levels!

ABS-CBN remains undisputed in national television viewership, according to Kantar Media. For the whole month of April, the network managed to maintain a national audience share of 44%, 10 points higher than its closest competitor.

The romantic comedy-drama “Be My Lady”, top billed by real-life couple Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales, now dubbed by fans as "DanRich", navigates the inter-racial relationship between its main characters and how they cope with each other's background. The well-loved series continues to be a consistent top rater in its morning slot, earning an all-time high rating of 20.8% with 54% share and is ranked 3rd overall in the list of most-watched programs in the country last May 2.

Meanwhile, afternoon drama series “Doble Kara” and “Broken Vows” continue to beat their counterparts. Doble Kara's lead actress Julia Montes who plays dual-role as Sara and Kara recently won Best Actress at the 14th Gawad Tanglaw Awards. With "Doble Kara" having extended due to popular demand and beginning a new chapter, the show has been beating its rival program for 20 weeks straight since January 2016, reaching an all-time high of 19.3% with 51% audience share. On the other hand, “Broken Vows” --- a controversial drama series about love, deceit, and betrayal remains to rule, earning a 17.1% rating with 52% audience share last April 12, 2016.
