Cinelatino to air more ABS-CBN content soon

Philippine entertainment giant, ABS-CBN, has closed another deal with Cinelatino, a Spanish-language movie channel based in Mexico. Cinelatino has been acquiring Filipino titles  and been airing them since 2016. This year, they have  chosen to acquire several blockbusters such as “Unexpectedly Yours,” “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” “She’s Dating a Gangster,” “Bride for Rent,” “Always Be My Maybe,” and “Extra Service.”

“This deal is highly significant for ABS-CBN as it keeps the momentum of penetrating the Latin American market since the acquisition of Bridges of Love in Peru. ABS-CBN contenthas been receiving excellent reception since then so it is only right to consistently provide high-quality Filipino content to this market.” says Cesar Diaz, Head of 7A Media, ABS-CBN’s exclusively distributor for movies in Latin America.

Through Cinelatino, these Star Cinema-produced movies will be available throughout Latin America, as well as the United States and Canada, via their cable, satellite, and IPTV services.

“We are certainly proud of this win early on this year and our goal will always be tocontinuously provide high-caliber programs and movies with cast and storylines that appeal to various cultures. We are certain that this will also boost our continuing efforts tointroduce new talents to the global stage.” says Macie Imperial, ABS-CBN’s VP for International Sales Distribution and Acquisition.
