What does it mean to live? </p><p>Artists Mars Bugaoan, Atsuko Yamagata, and Kurt Lluch explore the ideas of self, its journey, and ultimately, the age-old question of &quot;What does it mean to live?&quot; in their respective solo exhibitions &quot;Becoming,&quot; &quot;Breathing, Breeding, Blowout,&quot; and &quot;Aspects.&quot;</p><p>While others treat used plastic receptacles as garbage, Bugaoan collected and transformed them into beautiful art pieces, conveying a significant facet of his persona: revealing and facing his demons, innermost fears and insecurities.</p><p>Yamagata&#x27;s abstract collages, made of clear glue, acrylic and sumi (black ink) pigments, and handmade paper thread, are like a camera as they capture intervals, elements and organic gestures that constantly slip out of reach.</p><p>Lluch shapes wood and turns them anew into the form of paper doll clothes and many others in &quot;The Dress-up Game,&quot; which he refers to as the core of his show, and expands on the influence of roles in life, like how it can be the most basic aspect of who we are.</p><p>The solo art exhibitions can be viewed at Art Informal Greenhills East in Mandaluyong until August 2, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance is free of charge.</p>
