BAGUIO CITY - The Philippine Military Academy will now be closed to visitors during weekdays.

In an advisory released Wednesday, PMA said the academy will only be open to visitors during Saturdays and Sundays.

According to PMA information officer, Lieutenant Colonel Harry Baliaga Jr., they will be closing down the academy during weekdays to avoid interruptions during cadets' training.

"Weekends kasi 'yun 'yung time na walang academics walang training ang ating mga kadete para di sila ma-interrupt," Baliaga said

Baliaga added that PMA is planning to have an educational tour for all visitors.

"We are thinking of having tours sa loob ng PMA. Dati wala tayong ganun ang ginagawa lang ay inaallow ang tourista na pumasok pero wala naman sila nakukuha na learning sa PMA," Baliaga said.

[Soon there may be educational tours. In the past, tourists are just allowed to roam the campus grounds but they don't learn anything about the PMA.]
