Lawmakers however questioned the “malicious intent” in the seemingly coordinated issuance of their out of town assignments.</p><p>Meanwhile, the vice president also said they will adjust the operations of the OVP accordingly for 2025, depending on the final budget given to them by Congress.</p><p>She also decried the &quot;attacks&quot; on the OVP staff as it were &quot;politically motivated&quot; against their office, expressing <span data-teams="true" id="isPasted"><span dir="ltr">disappointment that ordinary employees of her office are now being targeted by House lawmakers.</span></span></p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/11/5/-not-in-aid-of-legislation-ovp-officials-decline-to-attend-house-hearing-1049">‘Not in aid of legislation’: OVP officials decline to attend House hearing</a></div><div><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted"><span dir="ltr">“Hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin nila nakukuha sinisira lang nila nang sinisira ang institusyon yong dignity ng institution ng OVP, and of course ang mga pangalan ng mga ordinary employees,” Duterte said.</span></span> </div><div><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted"><span dir="ltr">“Doon masakit ang loob ko, kasi mga ordinary employees lang sila. Sa akin, wala namang problema na sirain niyo ang pangalan ko. Kasi pumasok ako sa politika, expected naman talaga &#x27;yon na diba? Sa politika siraan naman talaga yon. </span></span><span data-teams="true"><span dir="ltr">Sisirain mo ang kalaban mo para magmukha kang malinis, mukha kang mabait. Ganon ang usual na strategy na politicians. Pero sa ngayon kasi sobrang busy ng thanksgiving ng 89th OVP anniversary,&quot; she said.</p>
