Pasos and Second Lieutenant Cherky Enlawan Embudo, who were aboard the SF-260 aircraft that crashed while doing a navigation training mission last May 20. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/5/20/small-plane-crashes-in-tuba-benguet-1315"><strong>Two pilots killed in trainer aircraft crash in Benguet</strong></a></div><p>He accorded them the posthumous Silver Wing Medal as a testament of their sacrifice and bravery for the nation. </p><p>PAF has temporarily grounded its remaining SIAI-Marchetti SF-260 training aircraft and suspended training activities involving the platform following the crash. </p><p>“Grounded yung remaining 16 [SF-260 aircraft] pending the investigation,” PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco told ABS-CBN News. </p><p>Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash. </p><p>“An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
