Communication students outside Metro Manila will get the chance to learn more about the trends and the changing landscape of the media industry as ABS-CBN and the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) brings the Pinoy Media Congress (PMC) to different campuses in the country through the PMC Caravan.

In the caravan’s first leg this Friday (October 4), multi-awarded broadcast journalist Chiara Zambrano, music advocate Atty. Marivic Benedicto, and film restoration pillar Leo Katigbak will share their professional experiences and insights in their respective fields in media to students of Saint Louis University and its nearby universities in Baguio.

The participants will also have a chance to watch for free a restored classic Filipino film of their choice or attend a free documentary workshop organized by ABS-CBN DocuCentral, led by ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs production unit head, Carmina Reyes.

They will also know more about this year’s “Class Project: Intercollegiate Mini-Documentary Competition” from Knowledge Channel head Danie Sedilla-Cruz.

Launched 13 years ago, ABS-CBN'S Pinoy Media Congress has served over 12,000 communication students with talks and free workshops on various fields and topics in media. To reach and inspire more students, ABS-CBN began to broadcast the annual conference via satellite to host schools in Visayas. This year, ABS-CBN goes even further by bringing the PMC experience to different campuses in the Philippines to promote media literacy and help shape the next generation of media and communication practitioners in the Philippines. After Baguio, the PMC Caravan will also be heading to Cavite, Cebu, and Davao in 2019.
