It’s Green vs. Maroon Night in Sydney as Loyal Alumni Cheer for their UAAP Basketball Teams

October 24, 2019 AT 01:46 PM

Filipinos abroad thirsting for good old collegiate basketball rivalry are in for a treat as TFC brings the UAAP Season 82 Watch Party in Australia. Proud alumni from De La Salle University and University of the Philippines are given the venue to wear their colors and root for their alma mater at the One World Sports Bar, The Crown Hotel Parramatta.

It will be the second time the Green Archers are facing the Fighting Maroons on the hardcourt this season. During Round 1 of the tourney, UP nabbed the game with a 72-71 come-from-behind victory earning them their fourth win in a row. The upset is anticipated to fuel DLSU to claim their sixth victory.

As of writing, UP Fighting Maroons are on the 2nd spot at the Men’s Basketball Division and DLSU Green Archers, 5th. Leading is the unbeatable ADMU Blue Eagles with twelve wins. Will it be a sea of blue once again on the championship? Or will maroon or green be emerging to dethrone the reigning champs and rise as the new kings?

Fans are one game closer to finding it out on Sunday, October 27th as TFC will not only bring the UAAP games into the global screens, but to their avid La Sallians, Iskos and Iskas in Sydney, Australia. On top of that, those who will subscribe to TFC Online or TFC IPTV can get a limited-edition UP Maroons and DLSU Green Archers shirts, UAAP Pen and more TFC Freebies when they attend the watch party. Terms and conditions apply.

Loyal alumni of participating UAAP schools across Asia Pacific can also be part of the action wherever they may be by subscribing to TFC Online or TFC IPTV Video On-Demand (VOD).
