Pay TV channel K+ airs three movies
Leading Philippine media and entertainment company ABS-CBN continues to make waves in the international arena as it began bringing its box office hit movies to Vietnam via pay TV channel K+, a channel owned by Vietnam’s premiere free TV station VTV and premium French Channel Canal+.
Premiering on December 25 is “I Love You, Hater,” a romantic movie starring two acclaimed Philippine actors, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. It follows the lives of Joko (Joshua Garcia) and Zoey (Julia Barretto) who compete with each other to land the job of being a personal assistant to a wealthy businesswoman (Kris Aquino). The two begin as competitors, but their growing feelings get in the way of their goal.
In September this year, K+ acquired and aired the highest grossing Philippine film of 2018, “The Hows of Us,” a romantic drama movie starring one of the Philippine’s most popular romantic pairings, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. This was followed by the airing of the romantic comedy film “Love You To The Stars and Back,” which also starred Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto and written and directed by popular Filipino filmmaker, Antoinette Jadaone in October.
