Be mesmerized by the cinematic kinks of “Pulp Fiction” (13 February, 11:30PM, 24 February, 11PM), the movie that sealed Tarantino’s enfante terrible
status in Hollywood. The 20-year-old movie that brings together two hitmen, a mob boss’ wife, an old boxer, and two small-time thieves, is dripping with dark humor, with some thrill thrown in, is sure to keep even the most jaded of viewers craving for more.
Viewers looking for quality war drama can look to the Ridley Scott classic “Black Hawk Down.” (10 February, 10PM, 22 February 7:35PM) Acclaimed by critics as one of 2001’s best, the movie is a searing depiction of 100 Delta Force soldiers and Army Rangers’ mission to kidnap crime lords in war-torn Mogadishu, Somalia and the ensuing 15-hour battle after two Black Hawk helicopters carrying soldiers are shot down by enemy forces.
Audiences who craved for a follow up to 2014’s favorite guilty pleasure, “John Wick,” had to wait a good four years for “John Wick: Chapter 2” (7 February 11PM, 15 February, 11:30PM) to drop. The wait yielded more of the same but on a scale designed to satisfy. Set four days after the original movie’s ending, the movie sees Keanu Reeves’s John forced out of his very, very brief retirement. Revisit the action before the third installment is out in theaters soon.
