Riveting movies like “Pulp Fiction,” “Black Hawk Down,” Ip Man,” “John Wick” are coming back to delight old and new audiences, this time on Cinemax and RED by HBO as SKYcable adds the two channels to more subscription plans.

Cinemax, home of Hollywood hits and action-packed original series, brings three Hollywood movies that left a mark in the action genre.

Be mesmerized by the cinematic kinks of “Pulp Fiction” (13 February, 11:30PM, 24 February, 11PM), the movie that sealed Tarantino’s enfante terrible status in Hollywood. The 20-year-old movie that brings together two hitmen, a mob boss’ wife, an old boxer, and two small-time thieves, is dripping with dark humor, with some thrill thrown in, is sure to keep even the most jaded of viewers craving for more.

Viewers looking for quality war drama can look to the Ridley Scott classic “Black Hawk Down.” (10 February, 10PM, 22 February 7:35PM) Acclaimed by critics as one of 2001’s best, the movie is a searing depiction of 100 Delta Force soldiers and Army Rangers’ mission to kidnap crime lords in war-torn Mogadishu, Somalia and the ensuing 15-hour battle after two Black Hawk helicopters carrying soldiers are shot down by enemy forces.

Audiences who craved for a follow up to 2014’s favorite guilty pleasure, “John Wick,” had to wait a good four years for “John Wick: Chapter 2” (7 February 11PM, 15 February, 11:30PM) to drop. The wait yielded more of the same but on a scale designed to satisfy. Set four days after the original movie’s ending, the movie sees Keanu Reeves’s John forced out of his very, very brief retirement. Revisit the action before the third installment is out in theaters soon.

Meanwhile, Red by HBO, home to internationally acclaimed, award-winning and popular movies and series from Asia, as well as HBO Asia Originals, resurrects a mix of fun and thrilling movie experiences.
InThe Scythian Lamb” (8 February, 7:40PM, 9 February 5:50PM), a seaside town is awoken when six strangers arrive: a boatman, a caregiver, a launderer, a barber, a cleaning woman, and a deliveryman. A city official welcomes them with open arms, but is soon rattled when the discovery of a corpse pushes him to dig deeper into the six’s past. Directed by Yoshida Daihachi (The Kirishima Thing, Pale Moon), the genre-bending movie brings a message of forgiveness and redemption.

Donnie Yen reprises his iconic role as the real-life kung fu grandmaster in “Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grandmaster” (5 February, 6:10PM, 16 February 8PM). The movie follows Wing Chun martial arts master Ip Man and his family as they move from Foshan, China, to Hong Kong, where he plans to put up a school.
