Rising OPM band Agsunta is back with a new single, a heartwarming pop-rock song entitled “Bagong Umaga,” released after the group’s brief respite online.
Agsunta’s comeback project is produced by ABS-CBN’s new label DNA Music and composed by vocalist Jireh Singson. The song brings out hope in love and affirmation to rise again after getting hurt, after experiencing lost, or after nearly giving up on life.
The band dropped the single last Friday and also released the music video on MYX and ABS-CBN Star Music YouTube channel on the same day. The hashtag #BagongUmagaNgAgsunta immediately trended on Twitter, with fans welcoming the new music of Agsunta and sharing their excitement with the band’s comeback two months after their self-imposed break.
Danna Gonzales @DannaGonzales23 talked about how the new song resonated with her. She said, “@Agsunta's come back is real! The wholesome lyrics will hit you.
Bagong kanta, bagong umaga. Bagong pag asa.”
Another Twitter user, Nadine @_thenadinea expressed her elation on Agsunta’s comeback. She wrote, “@Agsunta I missed you! My heart is so happy you're finally back! I loved you then, I love you now, I love you always! Thanks for this wonderful new music.”
