The City of Carson, California (not to be confused with Carson City, Nevada) is a sunny city of unique attractions just 13 miles south of Los Angeles.

For sports and music lovers, one can find the Dignity Health Sports Park (formerly StubHub Center) which is home to LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (former team of soccer superstar David Beckham) and Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL. It is where fútbol and football co-exist. It has also hosted world boxing championship fights and huge names in music for concerts.

For history lovers, there is the International Printing Museum which houses one of the world’s largest and most significant collections of antique printing machinery which the staff interpret for today’s audiences through working demonstrations and theater presentations.

Then for autophiles, a big treat: located in the City of Carson is the Porsche Experience Center-Los Angeles – home to Porsche Motorsports North America.  Here, one experiences the Porsche Passion through driving events unlike any other. From the track to fine dining, the visitors’ time here is sure to be as memorable as the dynamite vehicles themselves.

Another distinct feature of the City of Carson is its diversity.  The city’s population is almost 93,000 in 2017 based on U.S. Census. More or less each making up a quarter of the population are Whites, Hispanics, African Americans and Asian Americans. Over 20 percent of the Asian Americans in the city are Filipinos.  This is why Filipino presence and representation here are among the strongest and most vibrant in the U.S.  In fact, it is the only city that has a paid holiday on behalf of Larry Itliong Day, celebrated in honor of the late Filipino American labor organizer that is known as one of the fathers of West Coast labor movement.
