ABS-CBN continues to receive love from Trinitians after winning several awards in the recent 2021 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards of Trinity University of Asia.

ABS-CBN Digital Media led the Kapamilya winners after winning Digital Media Network of the Year while TeleRadyo was honored as Best Digital News Station.

“This award is for all the employees of ABS-CBN and our partners but most importantly, this award is for all the Kapamilyas who remind us of our purpose every day and that is to be in the service of the Filipino,”ABS-CBN digital head Eugenio “Jamie” Lopez IV said.

“It is a huge honor to be among the winners in the 2021 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards. Rest assured that we will continue to work hard and give our best in all that we do in our programs,” said Noli “Kabayan” De Castro, who accepted the award for TeleRadyo.

The faculty, students, alumni, staff, and other stakeholders of TUA also chose “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” as Best Primetime Drama Series, “It’s Showtime” as Best Noontime Show, and “ASAP Natin ‘To” as Best Variety Show.

Kapamilya artists were recognized as well. Vice Ganda won Best Variety Show Host  for “It’s Showtime,” Paulo Avelino received the Best Drama Actor trophy for his performance in “Marry Me, Marry You,” while Andrea Brillantes was awarded Best Drama Actress for “Huwag Kang Mangamba.” Toni Gonzaga was also honored as Inspiring Social Media Influencer for her works under Toni Gonzaga Studio.

Despite the lack of a broadcast franchise, ABS-CBN has continued to serve the Filipino people with news, information, and quality entertainment programs on cable and digital, while some of its shows also air on free TV via A2Z and TV5.

Platinum Stallion National Media Awards, now on its seventh year, is organized by the Media and Communication Department of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education of TUA to celebrate the continuing efforts of individuals and groups to educate the public through the media and the allied arts.
