Pinoy horror films take centerstage on Cinema One this October

The creepiest classics and scariest Filipino movies of recent years are airing on Cinema One all throughout the month.

Featuring blockbuster thrillers starring Vilma, Maricel, Kim, Claudine, and more

Cinema One, the home of Filipino blockbuster movies, brings back the creepiest classics and scariest Filipino movies of recent years in celebration of Halloween this October.

Be ready for midweek screams as movies by the master of scare Chito Roño take center stage on C1 Masters every Wednesday at 9 pm. “The Healing,” starring Vilma Santos airs on October 6; Maricel Soriano’s “T2” on October 13; Kim Chiu’s “The Ghost Bride” on October 20; and “Sukob” starring Claudine Barretto and Kris Aquino on October 27. 

Go back in time and enjoy the 90s favorites on Thursday Horror, also at 9 pm. Catch “Impakto” on October 7, “Multo in the City” on October 14, “Takbo, Talon, Tili” on October 21, and “Sa Piling ng Aswang” on October 28.

Creepy vixens will also emerge on C1 Midnight Madness every Saturday at 11 pm featuring Assunta de Rossi in “Sa Kabilugan ng Buwan” on October 2, Alma Concepcion in “Manananggal in Manila” on October 9, Alma Moreno in “Aswang” on October 16, Klaudia Koronel in “Ang Babaeng Putik” on October 23, and Aubrey Miles in “Sanib” on October 30.

Fright nights continue on C1 Exclusives with Cinema One Originals horror gems airing on Sundays at 11 pm, starting with “Nay” on October 3, “Violator” on October 10, “Bitukang Manok” on October 17, “Bukod Kang Pinagpala” on October 24, and “Lily” on October 31. 

Finally, the much-awaited Halloween Marathon happens at the end of the month with scary flicks airing 24/7. Catch “White Lady,” “Shake, Rattle & Roll IV and V,” “Halimaw sa Banga,” “Haunted Forest,” “Dalaw,” “D’ Anothers,” “Maria Leonora Teresa,” “Da Possessed,” and “Feng Shui 2” on October 30 (Saturday). Feast on more daunting movies with “Shake, Rattle & Roll VI,” “Bahay ni Lola,” “Shake, Rattle & Rolle 2K5,” “Segunda Mano,”  “Clarita,” and “Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme” on October 31 (Sunday).
