Noli de Castro features the five rescuers who died during the Typhoon Karding rescue operations in Bulacan this Sunday (October 9) in “KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan.”

Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office rescuers George Agustin, Troy Justin Agustin, Marby Bartolome, Jerson Resurreccion and Narciso Calayag risked their lives when the typhon swept over Luzon last September 25. Because of this, the local government unit of Bulacan recognized and honored the heroism of the fallen rescuers.

The “KBYN” team also checks on street sweeper Doreen Bacus who was run over by an SUV at BF Homes, Parañaque City. The 63-year-old is still recovering in the hospital and is due for an artificial ear surgery after she lost hers because of the accident.

Meanwhile, Kabayan travels to Batangas and tours one of the biggest cattle farms in the Philippines. He learns the process of farming these imported livestock that produces quality meat for Filipino consumers.
