Filipina victims of a US woman accused of racism have lawyered up and are calling for action from the city of Torrance in California.

Kayceelynn Salminao and Sherry Bulseco, along with an unnamed Japanese resident, have sent out "A Call for Action", requesting the city of Torrance to press charges against one Lena Hernandez, who allegedly hurled racist rants against the victims and physically assaulted them.

Earlier this month, Hernandez was caught on video threatening Bulseco at Wilson Park in Torrance. She was then recorded again the same day threatening the Japanese resident's family in the same park.

After the racist tirades went viral, Salminao stepped forward to speak about an October 2019 incident in which Hernandez attacked Salminao as she was trying to intervene in Hernandez’s verbal assault of a janitor at a local mall.

In the Call for Action, Salminao said Hernandez’s actions were criminal acts of assault, battery criminal threats, and child endangerment fueled by hate of Asian-Americans.

Since the June incidents, Torrance Police have interviewed Hernandez, and have given their findings to the city prosecutor.
