<figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B5yi9ZdE57U" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>MANILA - A Filipino worker who was deported from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is seeking help from the government after he lost 3,000 Saudi Arabian riyals and valuables inside his check-in luggage.</p><p>Andrew Montes said immigration officials told them to put their jewelry in their check-in luggage before boarding a Saudia Airlines flight back to Manila last November 17, 2018.</p><p>Montes said he made sure to secure his valuables in his bag. He said he was surprised upon arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport that the contents of his baggage were a mess.</p><p>&quot;Doon sa Jeddah, bago kami sinalang sa immigration process, sinabihan na kami na bawal &#x27;yung mga relo, jacket, medyas. Ilalagay daw po namin lahat sa aming baggage,&quot; he said.</p><p>(Back in Jeddah, before we went through immigration, we were told to put our watches, jackets, and socks inside our check-in baggage.)</p><p>&quot;Naka-tape pa po yung bag ko na black. Tapos may backpack sa loob para safe. Pagdating ko po sa Terminal 1, kalat na po &#x27;yung dalawang bag ko instead na isa lang,&quot; he added.</p><p>(I taped my black bag. Then I have another backpack inside to make sure it&#x27;s safe. When I got to Terminal 1, those bags were separated.)</p><p>Montes said he lost all his watches, rings, bracelets, an iPhone, and cash of 3,000 Saudi riyals (over 42,000 pesos), which were in his bag before boarding the plane to Manila.</p><p>He said he is uncertain if the items were stolen in Jeddah or at NAIA. He also posted the video of the incident at NAIA in his Facebook account.</p><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/montesandrew/posts/10218535422636112" data-width="auto"> </div><p>The OFW said he already filed a complaint before Saudia representatives at NAIA who promised that the airlines would pay him back for the lost items.</p><p>However, Montes said he received an email from Saudia on Tuesday, saying the airline is not liable for any of the missing items.</p>
