8 New Things We Learned About Kim Mingue During His Manila Fanmeet

There are more things to love about this “Heavenly Idol” aside from his handsome looks and excellent acting and singing skills!

<p>One of the Korean actors we’re going over is <em><strong>Business Proposal</strong></em> and <em><strong>The Heavenly Idol</strong></em> actor <strong>Kim Mingue</strong>. And we fell in love with him even more when he recently visited Manila, Philippines—his first stop for his Asia tour. Through this event, organized by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/risemediaph/" target="_blank">Rise Media Philippines</a> and hosted by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CrI4afTRWEt/" target="_blank">Giselle Sanchez</a>, we not only saw the Korean heartthrob but also got to know him a little better!</p><div><br/></div><p>Needless to say, it was truly an unforgettable night. Kim Mingue delivered in making his fans scream in extreme <em>kilig</em>; he was also all giddy and excited (though a bit shy) as he met and interacted with his beloved fans. When we asked him how he felt at the time, he wholeheartedly answered, “Happy!” And it seems like we’ll be seeing him again soon, with a promise that he will return to our country one day.</p><div><br/></div><p>Truly, it seems like we got closer to the Hallyu star in those more than two hours we spent together with him. This was not his first time in the Philippines. - Kim Mingue mentioned that while this is his first ever fanmeet in Manila, this isn’t the first time that he came to visit the country. However, he didn’t reveal where he went—but we hope we can soon find him in our seas, where he said he wanted to try snorkeling!<cite>Grace Libero</cite></p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>2. He’s a shutterbug. - On one segment of the show, some of his favorite photographs were flashed onstage. He admitted that he actually likes taking photos. However, photography for him isn’t simply about the subject of the image. The actor explains, “I don’t want to focus on the physical objects that can be seen in the photo. I wanna take pictures to try to remember the different atmosphere and mood that I was feeling during the time that I was taking the picture.<cite>Mint</cite></p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>3. He likes playing... - ...with video games and Lego sets, that is! “The Heavenly Idol” lead star said that playing video games is actually his hobby. Meanwhile, he’s always loved putting Lego together, so much so that many of his fans have gifted him with it!</p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>4. He’s a true animal lover. - Sure, we know about his famous three cats; we also caught him playing with dogs from time to time. But he’s also fond of other animals, too—including the horse he rode in his new drama. He even pointed out how he connected with the four-legged beast named Cheonma!</p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>5. He still remembers the time he filmed his first drama. - Kim Mingue is a sentimental type, we learned. When asked about his first-ever shoot for the 2013 musical drama called “Monstar,” he recalls, “I remember I was very nervous. I did my best so that I won’t be scolded.”</p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>6. He’ll choose Cha Sung-hoon through and through. - His breakout role in “Business Proposal” as Cha Sung-hoon made him the talk of the town even long after the drama ended. But when asked if he’ll switch characters with someone else from the show, he politely declined and answered that he’ll stick to being Cha Sung-hoon. “I really love my character Cha Sung-hoon,” he affirms.</p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>7. He likes his hair long. - We know, we know, Kim Mingue looks great no matter how he styles his hair. His preference, however, is wearing his hair long because he believes that it suits him better.</p></div><div class="item-desc"><p>8. He learned the “idol” lifestyle for “The Heavenly Idol”. - His outstanding performance in the drama “The Heavenly Idol” can be credited to the actor’s deep immersion and dedication to the role that he’s taking. He opened up about getting into the details of being an idol, describing this career as “very hard”. “While I was working on this project, I wanted to learn what the career as an idol is.
