<p>Women have made significant progress in society. From gaining access to education and voting rights to having numerous career options and business opportunities, we now live in an age where we have the chance to prosper and thrive. Gone are the days when we were seen as second-class citizens. Despite the intense pressure from the West to conform to radical ideologies that force us to be the same as men, I believe we possess unique and God-given traits and characteristics that make us a distinct species. I used to hate it, but now I&#x27;m embracing being emotional as a good thing. It makes me empathize and connect deeply with others. Being attuned to my feelings also gives me a broader perspective on different situations. Even though it&#x27;s hard, it makes me see through the lens of other people, including those I strongly disagree with. This biologically allows us to recognize emotions in others more easily, and if used to empower, we can be more empathic and skilled socially. Though this is a very scientific response, I have seen and witnessed this in organizations, board rooms, families, and friendships. We have the strength to influence men to do better depending on the standards we set. We have the natural bent to introspect deeply and connect emotionally. We have the power to impact society when we raise our voices for the truly marginalized and oppressed. We have the tender kindness to be a safe sanctuary for those who need it the most.
