IBP President Abdiel Fajardo said prosecutors face an uphill battle since the cases against Trillanes have been dismissed.
"Considering that the dismissal happened years ago already and the ordinary modes of appeal, review, etc. were not availed by the parties because they effectively agreed on the validity of the amnesty and the validity of the grant of the amnesty with respect to the individual applicant, you will in effect disturb the law of the case," he said.
He however noted that Trillanes is not immune from possible arrest for coup d'etat, a capital offense.
