In an interview done backstage at the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last November 19 at the Philippine Advertising Congress in Subic, Kaye Abad expressed how excited she is about the upcoming conclusion of Precious Hearts Romances presents Somewhere in my Heart. Kaye, however, admitted that even she doesn’t know what how the love story of Femi and Aaron will end. “Kahit kami hindi namin alam ‘yung ending. May nakuha na kaming script pero sabi nila iibahin daw nila ‘yung ending so wala akong idea kung paano siya magtatapos. Pero handa naman ako sa kung ano ang ipapagawa sa amin.”

Kaye went on to reveal that she had just finished shooting the love scene with her PHR leading man Guji Lorenzana. This is their second love scene following their first team-up in the previous PHR chapter Bud Brothers. “Naganap na nga ‘yung sa tingin ko pinakamahirap na part. Nakunan kanina ‘yung love scene. Pero hindi naman siya kasing daring nung love scene namin sa Bud Brothers. Naka-sando naman ako, ‘yun nga lang mas matagal ‘yung kiss.”

The 27-year-old actress shared that she has grown comfortable with Guji, describing him as a gentleman when they were doing the love scene for Somewhere in my Heart. “Mas madali na ngayon kasi mas comfortable na ako kay Guji. Naka-trabaho ko na siya, nakapag-love scene na kami sa Bud Brothers. Mas close na kami ngayon kaya wala nang masyadong problema. Pero itong huling love scene na kinunan namin hindi namin mapigilang matawa. But he was such a gentleman, ever since maalaga naman siya.”

Ever since Kaye and Guji were paired up in Bud Brothers, rumors have been going around claiming that there is a brewing romance between the two. Apparently people on the set have been noticing a different chemistry growing between them. But Kaye said that she and Guji are just good friends. “Friends pa rin kami hanggang ngayon. Mas masaya kami ngayon kasi mas dumami na ‘yung bonding moment namin. Mas nakilala ko siya ngayon. Getting to know each other pa rin kami. Mahirap naman kasing madaliin ang mga bagay. Kaya lang ngayon madalang na kami magkasamang lumabas. Busy kasi ako sa taping ng Rubi at siya naman may mga stage plays.”

With Somewhere in my Heart enjoying good ratings on the afternoon block, Kaye said she is very grateful to all the people who supported her love team with Guji. “Sobrang nakakatuwa at nakakagulat ‘yung pagsubaybay ng mga tao sa love team namin ni Guji. Hindi ko ine-expect na makakahanap pa ako ng ganito ka-successful na love team. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng KayJi fans kasi nandiyan kayo palagi. Unang-una ay kayo ang dahilan kung bakit from Bud Brothers ay nagkaroon kami ng Somewhere in my Heart. Sana magka-project uli kami together para mapasaya uli namin kayo.”
