Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson show off their athletic side at the 2010 Star Magic Games

<img class="contentArticleImage" src=""/>The 2010 Star Magic Games kicked off early in the morning last Sunday, September 26 as the stars trooped to the Celebrity Sports Plaza to participate in various athletic events lined up for the day. The day started off with a sportsmanship prayer led by Piolo Pascual, followed by the sportsmanship oath read by Xyriel Manabat and Zaijian Jaranilla. The University of the Philippines Pep Squad formally opened the program with an energetic performance followed by a parade of the four competing teams and their muses which included Shaina Magdayao and Maricar Reyes for the Blue Team, Kristine Hermosa and Bea Alonzo for the Red Team, Jessy Mendiola and Melissa Ricks for the yellow team, and Pia Romero for the Green Team.&#x27;nbsp; At the end of the day, it was Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu from the Blue Team who showed that they were the best athletes in the festival by garnering the most awards. Gerald, who was captain of the Blue team in basketball was chosen as StarStudio athlete of the games and received his prize from Ernie Lopez, Managing Director of ABS-CBN Publishing, and An Alcantara, Editorial Director. Kim showed off her athletic side by participating in events like volleyball, badminton, dodge ball, and patintero. During the basketball finals, Gerald&#x27;rsquo;s team went against guest celebrity Derek Ramsay&#x27;rsquo;s Red Team which was also composed of Jericho Rosales, Gab Valenciano, and Christian Bautista. But even though the Magkaribal actor and multi-sport athlete was the top scorer with 22 points, it was still Gerald&#x27;rsquo;s team that proved themselves winners. Other members of the Blue team included Zanjoe Marudo, Diether Ocampo, Matt Evans, Rayver Cruz, Jason Abalos, Joem Bascon, Xian Lim, Arron Villaflor, Fred Payawan, Jovit Baldivino, and Ejay Falcon. Gerald also helped lead his team to victory in the &#x27;Amazing Race&#x27; event while Kim helped lead the girls in the patintero event. It was a day of competition and camaraderie for the Star Magic talents as they got to enjoy themselves together in a different setting for a change.
